One of the projects supported by BABSEACLE is the Legal Community Project. This project is set up with the Chiang Mai University Law Clinic where students have the opportunity to work with real clients who need legal advice. The Chiang Mai University Law Clinic was founded in 1994 by the CMU Law Division. This year BABSEACLE invited interns who deal with legal clinics in their home countries to work in a joint effort, participating in the workshop with Thai students. The idea of the class was to teach students how to interview clients and how perceive everything what is necessary for conducting successful interview. All students were excited to participate in this workshop and they were very creative with their answers. Apart from workshops, students and interns have been sharing their experiences on how to lead clinics. There are two main challenges where students are involved. The first deals with private clients’ cases and the second one deals with community teaching.
