The DLA Piper Future Lawyers Skills Programme

Many countries in Asia-Pacific need more skilled lawyers with a strong understanding of their professional and ethical duties, including access to justice, to respond to the legal need in their communities and ensure the rule of law is upheld. There is a lack of infrastructure and training to support lawyers in these countries, leading to significant access to justice gaps.

To narrow the gap in access to justice, DLA Piper, BABSEACLE Inc. and CMU introduced the DLA Piper Future Lawyers Skills programme to Asia. This programme is developed to train and prepare more skilled lawyers with a strong understanding of their professional and ethical duties to provide pro bono services for their local communities, particularly in developing jurisdictions.
