As part of the Community Legal Education Program, BABSEA volunteers and legal interns teach at the
juvenile detention center. BABSEA’s main goal is to teach human rights and
law to the young girls by way of teaching English as a foreign language. As well, the BABSEA
partner, the Chiang Mai Legal Clinic provides direct substantive law teachings at the JDC as
a part of their CLE program, which BABSEA assisted in developing.
