BABSEA CLE has also been working closely with the universities in Malaysia. Currently, there are two universities that are involved namely, University of Malaya (UM) and Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM).

In University of Malaya, the Law Faculty has established a club under the name of Clinical Legal Education or CLE in 2007. It was later renamed to ‘Community Outreach Program’ or COP in the year 2008. The club has been very active ever since the establishment. They have been making trips to rehabilitation centers, juvenile prison, schools and shelter home for children. COP also organizes workshops to educate its members on how teach law interactively and effectively. In addition to that, COP also sends its members to Chiang Mai for internship with BABSEA.

Also, in UiTM, a club under the name of Student Community Law Club or SCLC was established with similar objective and has been making trips around Kuala Lumpur and Selangor in educating school children and the aborigines. With the motto; “We Come to Help”, SCLC provides information on legal resources to the community, share experience with legal fraternity, and educate the public on legal literacy.
