The Access to Justice Fair is a Public Interest Fair to celebrate BABSEA CLE and CLE Foundation’s philosophy of building bridges among like-minded organizations and individuals. It is an awarenessraising event that gives groups working for social justice an invaluable opportunity to network with one another while introducing their work to the public and promoting job and volunteer possibilities.
The Access to Justice Fair has been going from strength to strength with 21 and 20 organizations participating in the annual event over its first two years with a greater number having alreadycommitted to the 3are drawn from Chiang Mai, greater Thailand and indeed the entire Southeast Asian region and as such have the opportunity to spread information and network with a wide variety of colleagues as well aspotential employees and volunteers. The Fair provides the opportunity to not just hand out material and network but to make featured multimedia presentations.

BABSEA CLE
BABSEA CLE has worked on access to justice and pro bono programmes inSoutheast Asia since 2003. Working with law students, faculty, academics, law firms, government and non-governmentorganizations, BABSEA CLE has developed and implemented university-based clinical legal education programmes andgrassroots community legal education programmes. These programmes support local struggles for social justice, equitabledevelopment, rule of law and protection of human rights while simultaneously imbuing future lawyers, leaders and policymakers with a lifelong ethic of social responsibility and public service.BABSEA CLE works globally to connect people, organisations, and resources at the government, nongovernmental, institutional, and grassroots levels through clinical and community legal education programmes. These partnerships empower vulnerable and underserved individuals and communities by creating and strengthening sustainable legal and human rights education, and access to justice programmes worldwide.
CLE Foundation
CLE Foundation is a Thailand based non-profit, non-governmental organization that was founded in 2010. CLE Foundation emerged from a pre-cursor BABSEA CLE programme and eventually developed into an independent organization to pursue its own individual yet complementary mission. The purpose of CLE Foundation is to promote access to justice and sustainable development throughout the Kingdom of Thailand and internationally. CLE Foundation aims to achieve its goals by educating vulnerable communities as well as empowering groups and individuals within the academic sector to assist these communities in resolving issues arising from a lack of education. Throughout Thailand CLE Foundation is currently developing Clinical Legal Education (CLE) and Community Empowerment Initiatives (CEI). Internationally, CLE Foundation supports and connects Thai CLE programs with other internationally developed CLE programs to create stronger collaborations as well as to promote best practices in CLE and CEI methodology.
