Elton Romeo Hart has been a practising attorney since 2007and holds Rights of Appearance in all High Courts in South Africa. He established his law firm in Cape Town in 2008 and expanded to Johannesburg in 2018. His firm specialises in civil litigation, domestic violence matters, criminal law, debt collection, deceased estates, contractual law, commercial law, family law, maintenance, and protection orders.

Since 2013, he has lectured for the Law Society of South Africa’s Legal Education and Development (LEAD) program, covering Magistrates’ court practice, High Court Practice Wills and estates, Criminal Court Practice, Drafting of Contracts, Numercay Skills debt and Legal Costs.

At the University of Johannesburg, He hold the position as Clinic Attorney, integrating Work-Integrated Education into Clinical Legal Education. He is passionate about civil and criminal procedural law in Anglo-Saxon systems.  He lectures in the module Applied Legal Studies, guiding students in drafting legal documents, client representation, and bridging legal theory with practice in mentoring the graduate cohort on real life cases. Beyond academia, he is a sought-after legal expert on South African news and radio platforms, educating the public on legal matters of public interest.
